Surat: Air India has announced a flight connecting Surat to Bhuvneshwar and Bengaluru from January 20.

Air India flight will leave Bhuvneshwar at 8.40 am and reach Surat at 10.40 am. In return journey, the flight wil leave Surat at 11.10 am and reach Bengaluru at 1.05 pm.

The flight will leave Bengaluru at 6.10 am and reach Surat at 8.00 am. It will leave Surat at 8.30 am and reach Bhuvneshwar at 10.30 am.

The flight will operate on Mondays and Thursdays.

Air India has started booking for this service. Air fare between Surat and Bhuvneshwar is in range of Rs. 3500 to Rs. 8000.

Meanwhile, Surat airport witnessed over 15 lakh passengers in calendar year 2019 with 200% passenger growth witnessed in last two years. The rank of Surat airport has jumped from 38 to 33 nationwide in year in terms of number of passengers. With this Surat has become the second busiest airport of Gujarat overtaking Vadodara.

Surat airport has witnessed 36,000 international passengers this year during February – November period. Only one international flight operating from Surat connects the city to Sharjah in UAE.
