August 05, 2021
Ahmedabad: A start-up named ‘Urban Nap’ has installed two sleeping pods at the domestic terminal of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPI) Ahmedabad. The pods are installed at the security hold in the domestic departure area.
These sleeping pods are self-contained capsules which can be used by the passengers to lay back and sleep comfortably at the airport. It is learnt from the sources at airport that this new addition at the airport is still in the testing phase and more sleeping pods will be added based on the response of passengers. It may be turned into a pay-as-you-go sleeping space. The sleeping pods have facilities of lighting and air-conditioning. The pods can be shut from inside through a switch by the user and the outside noise isn’t audible in them. DeshGujarat
