Dushyant Patel appointed to do duties of Speaker of Gujarat Assembly

Gandhinagar: Dushyant Patel, a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Bharuch has been appointed to perform the duties of the office of the Speaker of the Gujarat Assembly so long as the said office is vacant. Patel replaces Dr. Nimaben Acharya who stepped down from the post. Dr. Nimaben was made Speaker after outgoing Speaker Rajendra Trivedi left the post to take oath as a Cabinet Minister. Monsoon session of State assembly is scheduled to be held in the last week of this month.
