Halvad: A rabid dog has bitten 23 people within a day in Halvad town of Morbi district. The injured persons had to be shifted to Morbi and Surendranagar for treatment due to absence of rabies vaccine in Halvad civil hospital.
The rabid dog in Dhrangadhra darvaja area of Halvad had bitten one after another person today, leading to a total 23 persons suffering from bite injuries. The stock of rabies vaccine wasn’t available in the Halvad civil hospital and the patients had to go to Morbi and Surendranagar due to the same.
Menace of stray dogs is increasing across the country due to the Supreme Court imposed restriction over dog capture and removal.
