Mumbai – Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express train extended to Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar: Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express has been extended to State capital Gandhinagar. The decision was announced by Minister of State for Railways Smt Darshana Jardosh. She said, the decision will benefit the residents of Gandhinagar and those who come for upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit.
Railway officials said, the train number 12009 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express will be extended to Gandhinagar with effect from December 24 for all days barring Sundays.
It’s worth noting that Lok Sabha MP of Navsari, CR Patil had made this demand so that those from Surat can comfortably travel to Gandhinagar in luxurious train.
In another decision, Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express train has been given stoppage at Sabarmati railway station in Ahmedabad with effect from December 23 on both sides. With this decision in effect, this train will stop at Sabarmati railway station along with Kalupur railway station in Ahmedabad. DeshGujarat
