Gandhinagar: Weather department of central government has released forecast of unseasonal light rains at isolated places in parts of North Gujarat on 28th and 29th of December this week.

SYNOPTIC SITUATION:-

A trough runs from the northeast Rajasthan to Vidarbha across West Madhya Pradesh at 0.9 km above mean sea level persists. The Western Disturbance as a trough at 5.8 km above mean sea level runs roughly along Long. 68°E to the north of Lat. 30°N persists.

DAY-1 (Valid from time of origin to 0830 Hrs. IST of 28/12/2021):- Light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan and in Kutch district. Dry weather very likely in all the districts of South Gujarat region, Saurashtra and in remaining districts of North Gujarat region and in Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.

DAY-2 (Valid from 0830 Hrs. IST of 28/12/2021 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 29/12/2021):- Light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Dahod, Panchmahal, Mahisagar and Aravalli.Dry weather very likely in all the districts of South Gujarat region, Saurashtra-Kutch and in remaining districts of North Gujarat region and in Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
