Gujarat CM allocates Rs. 187 crore for Aaji Riverfront and Ramnath Mandir development projects

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has granted in-principle approval to the allotment of Rs 187 crore to Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) for Aji Riverfront Development Project and Ramnath Mahadev mandir development.
The works on interceptor line for Aji Riverfront Development Project are in progress by RMC at present. Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board has handed over Ramnath Mahadev Mandir development project to RMC.
RMC had made a proposal to CM Patel through Gujarat Municipal Finance Board to make the works of 11-km Aji riverfront development project compatible with Ramnath Mahadev Mandir development. CM Patel had approved the works as special identity project under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojna. CM Patel granted in principle approval to allot Rs 187 crore to RMC in phase 1 for 2022-23.
RMC will undertake the works such as renovation of Ramnath Mahadev Mandir, parking area, temple plaza, kiosk, land scaping and so on. A check dam will be also built in Aji river in the area behind the mandir as per requirement. DeshGujarat
