Narendrabhai Modi to dedicate largest Kidney hospital of India in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: PM Narendra Modi will dedicate the largest kidney hospital of the country built in civil medicity in Ahmedabad on 11th October.

The new kidney hospital built at a cost of Rs 418 crore has a capacity of 850 beds. The largest multi organ transplant center of the country will also start in the kidney hospital. There are 22 hitech operation theatres in the kidney hospital including 10 modular and 12 non modular operation theatres. It has the facility of kidney transplant, all the operations related to kidney, liver transplant, gallbladder transplant, and uterus transplant. It has 12 ICUs to prevent infections to the patient in the treatment before and after the organ transplant.

It is the only government institute of Gujarat to have modern equipment for high risk pregnancy, urogynecology, and aesthetic gynecology and hitech operation theatre for IVF. The facility of performing dialysis of 62 patients simultaneously is started in the new kidney hospital. There is a facility of televisions and bluetooth headphones in beds in all the dialysis rooms for patients.

The kidney hospital has a modern blood bank enabling multi-organ transplant simultaneously. It also has a laboratory of immunology, HLA and stem cell testing performed before organ transplant.
