Gujarat CM launches Sujalam-Sufalam Jal Abhiyan 2023

Gandhinagar: The 6th phase of the Sujalam-Sufalam Jal Abhiyan campaign was launched by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, today at Khoraj in Gandhinagar.
The initiative aims to increase the level of groundwater and optimize the usage of rainwater and will continue for 104 days until May 31. Multiple developmental activities are planned across the state to achieve this goal, including deepening lakes, delisting check dams and reservoirs, constructing new check dams, forest and farm ponds, as well as cleaning canals and banks.
The state government’s six different departments will collaborate to carry out various works related to water harvesting, along with public participation, to achieve the primary objective of the Sujalam-Sufalam Jal Abhiyan campaign.
The work of deepening the lake in Khoraj village in Gandhinagar was kicked off by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in the context of Sujalam Sufalam Jal Abhiyan.
