Gujarat CM launches Domino’s Ragi Super Crust Millet Pizza

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today launched a millet pizza named ‘Ragi Super Crust Pizza’ from Domino’s, a brand of Jubilant FoodWorks Limited. Along with this the CM also inaugurated the food processing unit of Jubilant Foodworks in Sanand.

“Gujarat as a state is extremely important to us. Coming to Gujarat is like coming home. The state of Gujarat and its people have given us numerous opportunities to grow over the years. We are also excited about setting up our new food processing park here in Sanand, which will be a critical asset for us in the future, making our supply chain more robust and meeting the new demand. This facility will be able to cater to 500 plus Domino’s restaurants and many more other cuisines that we have in the country,” said Avinashkant Kumar, President, of Jubilant FoodWorks.

Domino’s has more than 1,863 stores in India spread across 393 cities. It is also the second-largest pizza brand in the world, with stores in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and even Turkey it is one of the largest food brands.

“In 2023, the United Nations General Assembly recognized the International Year of Millet at the proposal championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote nutritional food security. The encouragement to introduce this Millet pizza came from the Chief Minister himself,” said Hari Shankar Bhartiya, Founder and Co-Chairman of the Jubilant Bhartia Group.

“We are the largest food service chain to introduce a millet pizza base called Ragi Super Crust in Gujarat and later in India. Our innovative millet pizza base incorporates Finger millet flour, whole wheat flour, plain oats, and a blend of multi-seeds like flax seeds, watermelon seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds,” he added.
