Gujarat Govt and Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association ink MoU

Gandhinagar: The Science and Technology Department of Gujarat signed an MOU with the Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) in Gandhinagar today in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

The MOU aims to assist leading industry groups participating in Semicon India-2023 to set up their units in Gujarat in the future.

IESA will provide guidance and support to the State Government’s Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM) in making Gujarat a national hub for electronics manufacturing and design, along with creating an entire vibrant ecosystem for the semiconductor sector in the state. Not only this, IESA will also provide guidance to GSEM for investment promotion and investor outreach.

Videh Khare, Mission Director of GSEM, on behalf of the State Government, and K. Krishnamurthy, President IESA, exchanged signatures.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed that this MOU will be useful in making Gujarat a global player in the semiconductor sector.

It is important to point out here that IESA is working for the growth of semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries in India. IESA is also a partner in organizing important seminars and conferences in this field in India. IESA is the country’s leading industry organization for ESDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing) and intelligent electronics.

During the signing of this MOU, Chief Secretary Rajkumar, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister K. Kailasanathan, Science and Technology Secretary Vijay Nehra, as well as Vice President Col. Anurag Awasthi, Advisor Vivek Tyagi, and Executive Committee Member Ashok Mishra from IESA were present.
