Sabarmati: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had invited bids for selling of two commercial units in the basement of Nikumbh complex on CG Road for Rs. 11.4 crore and Rs. 1.16 crore over unpaid Property Tax of these shops by the owners.

However no-one made any bid at the end of the deadline which was on Saturday, following which the AMC has decided to own these properties for the token fee of Re. 1. Pending amount of property tax for these two shops is Rs. 50.44 lakh and Rs. 10.43 lakh. The owners will be given a last chance to pay the pending tax or AMC will take over these properties for the token charge of Re. 1. DeshGujarat
