RPF Jawan saves passenger’s life at Kalupur rly station

Kalupur: A passenger slipped and fell while trying to board a moving train on platform number 4 of Kalupur railway station in Ahmedabad. However, the RPF jawan present at the scene saved the passenger’s life by pulling him to safety before the train could depart. The entire rescue operation by the RPF jawan was captured on a CCTV camera.

According to information received from the Railway Protection Force in Ahmedabad, Police Constable Krishnakumar of the RPF was on duty at platform number 4 in Kalupur railway station in Ahmedabad. The incident occurred as train number 19016, the Daman Express, was departing around 7:30 pm. As the train began to move, a passenger attempted to board it while it was in motion and ended up falling. The RPF personnel on duty promptly rushed to the train and safely rescued the passenger before he could become trapped in the gap between the train and the platform.

Other bystanders on the platform also rushed to help. The train’s conductor immediately cut the power and halted the train. During the subsequent inquiry, the passenger identified himself as Ramnikbhai. He was traveling in the S-6 coach from Porbandar to Valsad. He had disembarked at Ahmedabad station to purchase a bottle of water, and the incident occurred as he was trying to reboard the moving train.
