Ahmedabad: An under-construction building in the Nana Chiloda area of the city is in the news for the removal of its seventh floor in order to avoid obstruction to the flight path.

Kailash Shivalay scheme is located in TP 241 final plot 36/1. The scheme involves 11 buildings(blocks A to K). The height of the buildings in this scheme was 7 floors. However, after objection by the Ahmedabad Airport’s Air Traffic Control (ATS), all 42 flats on the seventh floor are demolished.

The building comes under the landing approach of the airport. Even the sixth floor of this scheme is given a no-objection certificate for just the next seven years, as it can be considered obstructive eventually when jumbo planes are to be handled at this airport. DeshGujarat
