PM Modi to inaugurate Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024 on January 10; Several PMs, Presidents to be present

Gandhinagar: The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is scheduled to be held from January 10 to 12, 2024. Today, the Chief Minister presided over the meeting to conclude the final planning of the summit, which is being organized also as ‘Summit of Success,’ commemorating 20 years of the summit.

Vibrant Summit-2024 will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 10, in the special presence of Presidents, Prime Ministers, Country heads, and CEOs from around the world.

Finance Minister Mr. Kanubhai Desai, Minister of Health and Technical Education Mr. Rushikeshbhai Patel, Industries Minister Mr. Balwantsinh Rajput, and Ministers of State, Mr. Harsh Sanghavi and Jagdish Vishwakarma, also participated in the core committee meeting held in this regard under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel.

Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Department Shri S. J. Haider presented the comprehensive plan for Vibrant Summit-2024 before the Chief Minister and Ministers.

The presentation stated that the 10th edition of the Vibrant Summit will mainly focus on the theme ‘Industry 4.0: Spearheading the Industrial Revolution, Technology, and Innovation: Drivers of Inclusive Growth and Transitioning towards Sustainability.’

A global trade-show will be organized for five days from January 9, a day before the start of the Vibrant Summit. In particular, the technology decade Tech-Ed, disruptive technologies, and champion service sectors will be showcased in this trade show.

Additionally, seminars promoting reverse buyer-seller meet, vendor development, startups, MSME, and women entrepreneurs, etc., are also planned during the trade-show. The Chief Minister gave guidance to increase the participation of people in this trade show.

The Additional Chief Secretary, Industries, also made a detailed presentation to the Core Committee about the conferences, seminars, and one-to-one meetings and country and state seminars to be held in the three days of the Vibrant Summit.

Accordingly, after the inaugural session on the first day of the summit, there will be seminars, conferences, and panel discussions covering the content of decisions on Industry 4.0 Spearheading the Industrial Revolution on Aircraft, Ancillary Manufacturing MRO Opportunities, Dholera-Green Field Smart City for Smart Business, Gujarat’s Road Map for Developed India@2047, Acceleration for All-round Development. Apart from this, country and state seminars and the Global FinTech Leadership Forum will be held at GiftCity in the evening.

On the second day of the summit on January 11, seminars, conferences covering the topics of Technology and Innovation-Drivers of Inclusive Growth, Semiconductor and Electronics, Port-Based City Development, Building Workforce for Future-Industry 4.0, Youth-Focused Events on Skill Development, E.V. Startups, Modern India’s Aspiration-GiftCity, International Space Conference, Renewable Energy, Global Network Development for Skill Development, etc., have been included.

On January 12, 2024, the last day of the summit, seminars, conferences will be held for MSME Conclave, Decarbonization of the economy, and Moving toward net zero through carbon trading, Waste Water and Waste to Energy Recycling, Opportunities in Circular Economy, Gujarat as India’s Green Hydrogen Destination, From Watts to Giga Watts for Round the Clock energy.

The Industries Department also gave details of the plans to attract investment in new emerging sectors like PM Mitra Textile Park, Medical Devices Park, Pharma Park, and Toy Park in the state.

In addition to the presentation of this plan for Vibrant Summit-2024, details of the success of Pre-Vibrant Summit events were presented to Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.

Giving these details, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department said that the 10th edition of Vibrant Summit is getting an enthusiastic response. So far, more than 72,500 individuals and business-industry organizations from 72 countries have registered online.

Roadshows and a series of visits were organized to garner the participation of countries worldwide and other states of India with the commitment to make Vibrant Summit-2024 a success.

The Chief Minister went to Japan and Singapore, and the State Cabinet also traveled to 11 countries and organized about 200 one-to-one fruitful meetings. Not only this, road-shows and about 100 one-to-one meetings were held in 10 cities of the country.

A total of 13 pre-vibrant seminars and conferences have been organized so far on various topics, and two more events will be done by January-2024.

To encourage the participation of all districts of the state in this Vibrant Summit, the program of Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District was organized in all 33 districts of the state, and through that more than 2600 MoUs of various industries with a possible investment of Rs. 45,000 crores have been inked, opening employment opportunities for two and a half lakh people.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel provided guidance for the smooth planning of Vibrant-2024, including the arrival and departure of dignitaries and smooth planning of traffic regulation, accommodation-food, and other logistics and infrastructure.

Chief Secretary Mr. Rajkumar, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Kailasanathan, Principal Adviser Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, Adviser Mr. Rathore, as well as Senior Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Secretaries also joined the discussion of the meeting and gave details of the planning arrangements of their departments in the Vibrant Summit context.
