7 lakh people visit AMC’s Flower Show at Sabarmati Riverfront

Sabarmati: So far, 7 lakh people have visited the flower show held at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad. The annual event by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has witnessed 20% more footfall than the previous year.

People are not only visiting but also buying flowers and indoor plants from the stalls at the flower show. The civic body has earned more than 2.80 crores from the flower show. Not only residents of Ahmedabad, but also NRIs and foreign tourists visiting the country and Gujarat have attended the flower show. People from Kerala, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, as well as individuals from Kenya, America, Germany, and France, have also enjoyed the show.

As part of a contest, the municipality has announced a prize for the best selfie taken by people visiting the flower show and tagging the municipality. Due to this initiative, a large number of people have been tagging the municipality with their pictures.
