Surat: An accident occurred near L&T in Hazira when a dumper truck driver, coming at a high speed on from the wrong side, collided head-on with a bus belonging to Shell Company’s security agency. Just as the collision happened, an Innova car traveling behind the bus also rammed into these vehicles and the entire incident was captured on CCTV.

In the footage, the truck approaching from the wrong direction pushed the bus back by 20 to 25 feet. Four people, including the bus driver and cleaner, sustained serious injuries in the incident. Additionally, 10-12 others suffered minor injuries.

The accident involved a dumper (GJ-5 CU-8004) traveling on the wrong side and an agency bus (GJ-5 CU-0048) of Vizil Plus Security Solutions Pvt. Ltd., carrying 15 security personnel to Shell Company in Hazira. The impact crushed the bus cabin and caused damage to the dumper. The Innova car coming from behind also collided with the bus, resulting in damage to its bonnet.

In response to the accident, emergency services, including the fire brigade, used hydraulics and assistance from bystanders to extract the bus driver, Swaminath, and cleaner, Pappu Bhatt, from the wreckage. The entire sequence of events was recorded by CCTV cameras. DeshGujarat
