Gujarat to set up GRIT think-tank on lines of NITI Aayog

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government will form a think tank called the Gujarat State Institution or Transformation (GRIT) in the pattern of NITI Aayog at State level. This announcement was made today after the 9th general council meeting of NITI Aayog in national capital Delhi where Gujarat Chief Minister was also a participant.
At present Maharashtra has similar body called MITRA, Karnataka has SITK, Uttar Pradesh has STC, Assam has SITA and Uttarakhand has SETU. Similarly Gujarat will have GRIT. Such bodies are broadly covered under NITI Aayog’s State Support Mission. DeshGujarat
