657 km of National Highway projects underway in Gujarat; to be completed by 2025-26

New Delhi: Construction of approximately 657 km of National Highway (NH) projects is ongoing in Gujarat, with completion anticipated within this financial year and the next.
Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari provided this information regarding the current status of the construction during the ongoing budget session of Parliament in response to a question from a Rajya Sabha MP.
In a written reply, Gadkari stated that the Ministry sets construction targets without making any distinction between old and new National Highways (NHs). A provisional target of 10,421 km has been set for construction of NHs during Financial Year 2024-25.
At the beginning of the current financial year, NH projects in progress in the State of Gujarat had about 657 km balance length for construction, with their completion targeted during the current and next financial year. DeshGujarat
