Constable shoots himself in Ahmedabad Police Commissioner’s office

Ahmedabad: A police constable allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in the compound of the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner’s office.
The incident occurred late Wednesday night when Police Constable Jitendra Waza, who was posted as a guard at the Police Commissioner’s office, allegedly shot himself in the face with an INSAS rifle. The police have filed a case of accidental death and have started an investigation into the matter.
Constable Waza had recently been posted on duty at the new police commissioner’s office and received a rifle and 20 cartridges two days before the incident. The exact reason behind the alleged suicide remains unclear at this time.
The city police commissioner offered condolences to Waza’s family and ordered a thorough investigation into the case. According to reports, Constable Waza had been suffering from depression for the past few months. DeshGujarat
