Gujarat CM asks some hard hitting questions to Congress over its alliance with National Conference in J&K

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today condemned the alliance between Congress and the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference ahead of the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Questioning the Congress party over the alliance, CM said, “The Congress Party, which is out of power since a decade, has once again revealed its intention to play with the unity and security of the country in its greed for power. By forming an alliance with the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference of Abdullah Family in J&K Assembly elections, the Congress Party has put its intention in front of the country. The people of the country want to know whether the Congress Party supports the promises made by the National Conference in their manifesto. Does the Congress Party support the promise of a separate flag in Jammu and Kashmir? Does the Congress Party want to push Jammu and Kashmir into the era of terrorism by bringing back Article 370 and 35A again? The true face of the Congress, which is supporting the divisive thinking of the National Conference that wants to give autonomy to J&K, has come before the public. There is no doubt that Congress has formed this alliance with the National Conference for the sole purpose of grabbing power.”

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while while questioning this alliance had said, “After removing Article 370 and 35A, the Modi government worked to end the discrimination faced by Dalits, tribals, hill people, and backward communities for years and provided them with reservation. Does Rahul Gandhi support the anti-reservation resolution mentioned in the JKNC manifesto, which abolishes reservation for Dalits, Gujjars, Bakarwals, and Paharis? After forming an alliance with the National Conference, the Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi should clarify their reservation policy to the country.” DeshGujarat
