September 04, 2024
Surat: The local police have nabbed 15 bogus doctors from the Pandesara area who were practicing allopathic medicine without valid degrees. The police also seized a stash of medicines from the clinics of these fake doctors.
The Pandesara police, in an operation, first collected information about these fake doctors by sending dummy patients to their clinics. Later, along with the district health department team, the police raided the clinics of these 15 doctors. During the raid, the police confiscated medical goods worth ₹59,000, including various types of medicines, injections, and syrups from the bogus doctors.
Some of the arrested doctors had Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (DHMS); however, the police suspect that even those degrees are bogus. If the degrees are indeed fake, additional charges can be registered against the doctors. These doctors were running the clinics in rent shops for the last 6 months.
The names of the bogus doctors caught include Rajaram Keshavprasad Dubey, Yogesh Madan Patil, Rajesh Bansilal Patel, Brajbhushan Tarakeswarsing Ravani, Rajkumar Sohanlal Gupta, Pradeep Motila Pandey, Vijay Babulal Yadav, Mukesh Kamalakant Hajra, Ranjit Paras Verma, Asit Akhil Roy, Chandrabhan Kedarnath Patel, Omkarnath Ramprasad Karndhar, Rajnarayan Sribansi Yadav, Manoj Sukhebendra Mishra, and Pramod Amrej Morya.
