Shahibaug Underbridge to remain closed for 15 days

Ahmedabad: The iron plates underneath the railway track that passes over the Shahibaug Underbridge have become dilapidated. Some of these plates are broken and need repair. The Ahmedabad division of Western Railway has started the repair work, due to which all three entry and exit routes of the Shahibaug Underbridge will be closed for movement from 24:00 hrs (midnight) to 6:00 hrs for 15 days. Traffic will be diverted as per the following details during the repair work.
Road restrictions: All three entrances and exits of the Shahibaug Underbridge will be closed for vehicular traffic from 24:00 until 06:00 until the 18th of September.
Alternative routes:
1. Traffic coming from Delhi Darwaza and Subhash Bridge heading towards the airport or Gandhinagar can use the riverfront road via Shilalekh Flats at the end of Subhash Bridge to reach the airport and Gandhinagar.
2. Traffic coming from the airport or Gandhinagar can be diverted via the Riverfront. Traffic heading towards Asarwa, Girdharnagar, Delhi Darwaza, or Kalupur main roads can be accessed by going through Shahibaug and then using Mahaprajnaji Bridge.
3. Traffic from Girdharnagar or Asarwa heading towards Gandhinagar or the airport can take the Shahibaug route via Anakshi, Gayatri Mandir, and the Army Cantonment, continuing towards Gandhinagar via the airport and Indira Bridge.
