Situation of water levels, inflow, outflow in some important dams of Gujarat as of Sunday evening
September 29, 2024
Gandhinagar: Presented below is the table of water situation in various dams across Gujarat as of 7 pm on Sunday, September 29. It can be seen that Gujarat’s largest dam Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam and the second largest dam Ukai dam are nearing their full level. The government is delaying full level by releasing water in downstream for last many days in the case of both these dams. But it appears that finally the full level will be allowed before or during Navratri if there’s no forecast of further heavy spells of rain. The third largest dam of Gujarat, Kadana over river Mahi has already achieved the highest level, days ago. Shetrunji river which is lifeline of Bhavnagar city is finally receiving good inflow. As the monsoon season is coming to its departing portio in the State, Dantiwada and Dharoi dams are only partially filled with water due to lower inflow from neighboring Rajasthan. The dams that receive inflow from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra are all having rich level, but those dams which depend on inflow from Rajasthan have not achieved 100 percent levels. DeshGujarat
