Himmatnagar: Thanks to the completed electrification of railway line between Asarwa (Ahmedabad) and Himmatnagar railway stations, the first electric goods train arrived at Himmatnagar railway station on Monday night at Himmatnagar railway station from Kandla via Asarwa. This was possible due to completion of speed tests and related approvals.

It is understood that the trial run of electric train on Himmatnagar – Udaipur railway route will be done on 20th December. After speed trials, and related approvals, Raiwlays will be able to run electric trains between Ahmedabad and Udaipur possibly in 2025, starting a new chapter of fast transportation between two cities.
