Surat: Rander Police have nabbed a groom along with his relatives for gambling in the hall that was booked for the wedding.

Acting on a tip-off that a groom and his relatives were gambling, the Rander Police conducted a raid at Tumbi Hall. During the raid, the groom, identified as Nawaz Sharif, who was set to marry on Saturday, was found gambling along with his relatives. The hall had been booked for the groom’s wedding ceremony. The police nabbed a total of 13 individuals. Cash amounting to ₹76,000 and mobile phones were also seized.

The groom and his brother were later released on bail considering his wedding on Saturday. However, the rest of the arrested individuals are being interrogated, and further investigation is ongoing. DeshGujarat
