Freak accident on Ashram Road Ahmedabad, two dead, several injured

Ahmedabad: In a freak accident on busy Ashram road two persons were dead and five were injured today evening close to Nehru bridge circle. The reason of accident was not traffic actually, but the red AMTS bus coming from Nehru bridge to Ashram road which went out of the control for unknown reasons. The AMTS bus instead of taking turn on left side on Ashram road went straight and collided with I10 car. It then collided with a bike and then with white ST bus. The AMTS bus was in so much speed that it crushed the car and pushed bike and ST bus to other corner of Ashram road. An Activa two-wheeler which was coming behind the white ST bus rammed into the bus from backside. A person from Paldi who was on driving seat of I10 car was dead. He could be pulled out of car only after fire brigade team arrived and cut the car using specialized equipment. The other person dead was from Khanpur area. He was on bike. One person is critically injured in this incident while four injured persons are out of danger. The incident took place at around 5.00 pm.
