August 21, 2016
Gandhinagar: President of Gujarat Rohit Samaj Shri Vikram Chauhan, Managing Trustee of Gujarat Samajik Nyay and Adhikarita Sangh Shri Zaverbhai Chavda and Chunval belt leader Arjanbhai among others have today congratulated the Dalit community of Gujarat for “saying no” to ‘Dalit Shakti Mahasammelan’ organized by ‘Navsarjan Trust’ in the name of Dalits.
The Dalit leaders have in their joint statement said that Navsarjan Trust is misleading the Dalit community and spreading lies on the issue of Thangadh incident.
In their statement they have further said that though the government had accepted the demands of family members of victims of Thangadh incident and the family members were agreed to it, the trustees of Navsarjan Trust who are into activities of misleading the Dalit community and getting foreign fund to spit venom against Hindus society have felt like the ground cut out from under their feet and they have become desperate.
They further in their statement said: Dalit community has identified the motive of such anti-social vested interest (groups) and made Dalit Shakti Mahasammelan a fiasco, for which well-aware Dalit community deserves congratulations.
It should be mentioned here that Gujarat based Navsarjan Trust founded by a Jesuite Christian activist Martin Macwan(Read Rajiv Malhotra’s book Breaking India) gets crores of Rupees of foreign fund as per FCRA data from organizations based in western countries including Christian organizations.
Navsarajn had organized Dalit Mahasammehal today in Gandhinagar. However contrary to claims made about 10,000-strong presence, about 1,000 turned up as per reports in prominent local TV channels. Navsarjan’s Manjula Pradeep said the lower count was due to government’s announcement regarding compromise achieved with victim families. There was uncertainty among Dalits whether this sammelan is going to happen or not till yesterday, she said.
