Gujarat enters final of Ranji Trophy for the first time since 1950

Ahmedabad: Gujarat today registered a comfortable victory over Jharkhand to become the first team to qualify for the final of Ranji Trophy 2016-17. Today’s victory was largely contributed by half-centuries from Chirag Gandhi and Manprit Juneja, followed by a six-wicket haul from Jasprit Bumrah in the fourth innings.

Gujarat will make their first appearance in a Ranji Trophy final since 1950-51. Gujarat will now play the winner of the other semifinal clash between Mumbai and Tamil Nadu in Indore in the final, starting on January 10.
