Gujarat CM dedicates Rs. 1.5 crore brachytherapy machine to Rajkot Cancer Society

Ahmedabad: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today dedicated high dose radiation brachytherapy machine to Rajkot Cancer Society worth Rs. 1.5 crore. This machine is dedicated with support of Rotary Club.
Brachytherapi machine is the first in Saurashtra region and it can reduce the radiation time to only 20 minutes instead of 18to 20 hours. Specialty of this machine is that it eliminates only cancer cells. Earlier Chemotharapi was used, but it was eliminating good cells also, but with this machine loss to body can be prevented. And thousands of patients will get great relief during treatment.
Appreciating Rotary Club, Mr. Rupani said that state is shining with the activities being done by Rotary Clubs in Gujarat. He termed joy of donation with incomparable happiness and added that due to service activities, unhealthy people of state get facilities.
Saying that with dedication of brachy machine, difficulties of patients will be reduced, he mentioned about card distribution of “Mukhmantrishri Maa Amrutam Vatslya” yojna to 45 lakh patients having critical illness. He gave assurance about starting 1000 generic stores so that poor patients can get high priced medicine in low rate.
Mr. Rupani said that to provide better services in health sector, more 10 medical colleges will be commenced. Noting that Rotary club is wiping the tears of others Mr. Rupani congratulated Rotary Club.
On this occasion Mr. Vijaybhai from Rotary Club welcomed all and Mr. Bhaveshbhai Vegda elaborated the project. MLA Mr. Govindbhai Patel, Smt. Bhanuben Babariya, Mayor Dr. Jaimanbhai Upadhyaya, Dy. Mayor Dr. Darshitaben Shah, Chairman of Gujarat Municipal Finance Board Mr. Dhansukhbhai Bhanderi, Mrs. Anjaliben Rupani, and office bearers of Rotary club and people of Rajkot remained present.
