Gujarat CM launches Ma Narmada Mahotsav website

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister today launched Ma Narmada Mahotsav’s website here.

The government has through this website made announcement that Narmada Mahotsav will be celebrated across around 10,000 villages of 24 districts in Gujarat. However the dates and schedule of Ma Narmada Mahotsav has not been declared yet.

The motive behind this mahotsav according to website is to create awareness on impact of river Narmada on lives of over 4 crore people and conservation and rational use of Narmada water.

As per the website, Narmada rath will move across 24 districts including Ahmedabad, Arvalli, Amreli, Banaskantha, Botad, Chhotaudepur, Dwarka, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Kutch, Mahesana, Morbi, Narmada, Panchmahal, Patan, Porbandar, Kheda, Surendranagar, Vadodara, Rajkot and Sabarkantha.

During the course of this yatra, Narmada rath will be welcomed with aarti, cycle and bike rallies, women’s gathering, farmers gatherings, various competitions, blood donation camp and various cultural events according to website.
