Vadodara: The Supreme Court order in favour of stray dogs is hurting many. Take an example of small town Dabhoi’s referral hospital where in last one month there have been 50 cases of dog bite. The dog menace is noticed in the areas such as Patelvaga, Birabhagol, Ranavas, Surajfaliya, Kadiyavad, Vhorvad etc areas. Or take an example of Bilimora town where an incident of dog’s attack on girl is captured in CCTV camera.
In the name of Supreme Court verdict, civic bodies in Gujarat and elsewhere refuse to capture dogs when complains are received. In Ahmedabad, a caller contacted Municipal Corporation to inform that there was a rabid dog roaming in the street which was very dangerous and it should be captured immediately. The Municipal Corporation employee replied that there was Supreme Court verdict preventing them to capture a dog.
