Vadodara’s Krunal Pandya becomes highest paid uncapped player in IPL, Parthiv Patel remains unsold

Bengaluru: Ahead of the 11th season of the IPL, which will be held from April 7 to May 27, 578 cricketers will go under the hammer in the two-day player auction in Bengaluru.
Ben Stokes was the highest paid player in the auction, with Rajasthan Royals buying his for Rs 12.5 cr.
Vadodara, Gujarat based Krunal Pandya became the highest paid uncapped player in the history of the IPL, going to Mumbai Indians for Rs 8.8 cr.
Amongst the Indians, KL Rahul and Manish Pandey got the highest bids, with the Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively snapping up the pair for Rs 11 cr each.
Ricky Ponting has confirmed Gautam Gambhir will be captain of Delhi Daredevils.
78 players out of 110, who went under hammer, were sold today. A total of Rs 318.10 cr was spent on them.
The 2018 IPL Auction as it happened:
Hyderabad signed Shikhar Dhawan for Rs 5.2 cr, using their Right-to-Match option.
Kings XI Punjab signed Ravichandran Ashwin for Rs 7.6 cr.
Mumbai Indians signed Kieron Pollard for Rs 5.4 cr, using their Right-to-match option.
Chris Gayle remains unsold.
Faf du Plessis was bought for Rs 1.6 cr by Chennai Super Kings, who used their Right-to-match option.
Rajasthan Royals exercised their Right-to-match option to buy Ajinkya Rahane for Rs 4 cr.
Mitchell Starc went to Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 9.4 cr.
CSK bought Harbhajan Singh for Rs 2 cr.
Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Shakib Al Hasan for Rs 2 cr.
Glenn Maxwell was sold for Rs 9 cr to Delhi Daredevils. Kings XI decided not to use their RTM card.
Delhi Daredevils also bought Gautam Gambhir for Rs 2.8 cr. KKR decided not to use their RTM card.
CSK used their Right-To-Match option to retain Dwayne Bravo for Rs 6.4 cr.
Kane Williamson went to SRH for Rs 3 cr.

Kings XI Punjab bought Yuvraj Singh for his base price of Rs 2 cr.
Karun Nair was sold for Rs 5.6 cr to Kings XI Punjab.
