MLA Shailesh Sotta makes representation at Collectorate against ‘Land Jihad’
July 21, 2018
Vadodara: Shailesh Sotta is BJP MLA from Dabhoi seat of Central Gujarat, but he lives in the city of Vadodara. Parikh Park is a residential society located near Suryanagar garba ground in Vadodara. This area is close to Shailesh Sotta’s Vadodara residence. Sotta has represented this area as councillor of Vadodara city for number of years.
The locals complained that some Muslims was in process to purchase Hindu’s house in Parikh Park society. In response to this, Sotta reached collector office in Kothi area along with his supporters and the residents of Parikh Society and asked collector to take action against not just one who would buy the property breaching the disturbed area act but also against the one who was in process to sell the property to Muslim. Both should face police complaint and actions so that others fear to do wrong. The district collector assured Sotta and others for proper actions.
It is understood that the issue is over for now as one who was in process to sell the property has now shelved the idea.
It’s worth mentioning here that Muslims buy first property in Hindu area at very very higher rate. Later when one Muslim starts living in Hindu area, the rates of Hindu owned properties located nearby go extremely down and they are sold speedily. In some time, Muslims take over the area. In popular terms it is called ‘Love Jihad’. People nowadays complain that BJP MLAs don’t take Hindutva stand and give cold response when they are approached over issue of Land Jihad. However Shailesh Sotta has been sincere and prompt in responding.
