Governor Kohli hoists tricolour in main R-day event in Palanpur in presence of CM Rupani

Palanpur/Gandhinagar: Governor O P Kohli today hoisted national flag in the main state level event of Republic Day in Gujarat at Palanpur, he headquarter city of Banaskantha district today.
CM Vijay Rupani was also present on the occasion.
Both the Governor and the CM inspected the parade on the occasion in the Rampura ground.
In an unfortunate incident at least six people including some children and a lady police injured when her bike lost balance and fell during stunt on the occasion.
Notably the tradition of organizing the main events of R-day and Independence day outside of the state capital Gandhingar was started during the regime of the then CM Narendra Modi.
DyCM Nitin Patel participated in the district level event in Gandhinagar while other ministers also participated in such events at various places.
Union Minister and Senior BJP leader Purushottam Rupala was the chief guest at the R-day event at Gujarat BJP headquarters Srikamalam at Koba near Gandhingar.
Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda hoisted the tricolour at party state headquarter Rajiv Bhavan in Paldi area of Ahmedabad.
R-day events were also organized in various government and non government institutions, police and armed forces centers and educational institutions.
Like every year the members of a swimming club in Porbandar also hoisted the tircolour mid-sea.
