Go Air Flight to Kolkata with 185 on board makes emergency landing at SVPI airport in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A flight of private airliner Go Air made an emergency landing at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport here today within an hour after its take off for Kolkata with 185 people including crew on board.
Airport Director Manoj Gangal informed that Go Airways flight G8-532 with A320 aircraft, departed from Ahmedabad at 05:59 IST for Kolkata. At 06:15 IST while at 150 km from Ahmedabad, the pilot requested Ahmedabd ATC to permit it to return to Ahmedabad due technical snag. In view of the safety of passengers and aircraft, ATC immediately approved the same. The pilot also reported that all operations were normal.
The flight landed at Ahmedabad at time 06:40 safely. Total number of persons on board was 185 including crew. All were safe.
Later, the aircraft departed for Kolkata at time 08:36 IST,’ he said.
