EDII in Gujarat conducts capacity building training for professionals of Rwanda

Gandhinagar: City based Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), conducted a capacity building training programme for the professionals of Rwanda. Fifteen participants from Rwanda were trained as trainers for Entrepreneurship Development Centre set-up at Rwanda.
Appreciating the efforts of the Institute, His Excellency Mr. Ernest Rwamucyo, High Commissioner of Rwanda to India said, “This learning will see the germination and growth of a truly befitting Institute which will work towards the progress of Rwanda. You all are the Agents of Change and will play a major role at a time when the economy of Rwanda is on the growth track. Rwanda Vision 20-50 is being implemented and this will require resources and in that space you all will be playing an indispensable role as you all would be working towards New Enterprise Creation. So your role is important and I extend my best wishes to all of you.”
Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII said, “With the setting up of this Centre, very soon Rwanda will see a new dawn. Micro, small and medium scale enterprises will germinate and grow, new business and employment opportunities will emerge and dormant resources will be put to use. You all will be the facilitators in this process, so gear up to make a difference.”
Dr. Sanjay Pal, Programme Director, EDII said “The course pedagogy was designed in a such a way that the participants alongside learning, imbibed the qualities of leadership, management, innovation, creativity and competitiveness and an eye for opportunity. This cadre of trainers will not only ensure new enterprise Creation and Growth of existing ones but will also work in such a manner that entrepreneurship gets etched on the minds of each and every individual of Rwanda”.
Mukulira Olivier, Managing Director, RICEM (Rwanda Institute of Cooperative Entrepreneurship & Microfinance), & Director Designate, Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Kigali, Rwanda said, “The programme was well designed and conducted with experienced faculty. The learning experience was rich and varied. The curriculum was contemporary and combined class room training and field visits to impart learning. This blend of teaching, training, simulation exercises and interactions perfectly drove in the learning that would help us plan big for the Rwanda Centre.”
