Sabarmati: A new 2 + 2 flyover at Viratnagar junction will soon be opened for public after some of the remaining works such as touching, color and cleaning, said Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in a statement today.
The bridge was planned under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, after traffic surveys that concluded that over 2 lakh vehicles pass through Viratnagar junction on Narol – Naroda BRTS road everyday.
According to AMC, the project has been largely completed at a cost of Rs. 36.5 crore. The bridge is 548 meter long in 2×9 meter split flyover form. Service road on both side is 11 meter + 1.5 meter footpath. DeshGujarat
