Zydus hospitals announces new terms and conditions for dispensing Remdesivir

Ahmedabad: Apparently in order to prevent misuse, hoarding and black-marketing of Remdesivir injections, city based Zydus hospitals has made changes to terms and conditions applicable for those who want to purchase Remdac brand Remdesivir injections from Zydus hospitals. The buyers will need to produce original prescription of only Allopathic physician while seeking Remdac injections. No digital or photocopy of the prescription will be accepted. Prescription of no other pathy doctors (such as naturopathy, Ayurvedic) will be accepted. Original Allpathic physician’s prescription will need to have registration number, doctor’s stamp and qualification on hospitals’ letterhead. RT-PCR positive report of patient must not be older than 7 days. Copy of admitted patient’s Aadhar card will also be required. Zydus hospitals has also made it clear that only one relative for one patient will be allowed.
