Rajmahal Palace in Amreli to be developed as Tourism site

Amreli: The state government will develop the Rajamahal palace of Amreli as a tourism site.
Amreli district collector Gaurang Makwana and officers of Gujarat tourism had visited Amreli Rajmahal. The district administration had appealed to the tourism department of the state to develop the Rajmahal as a museum a few months ago. Then, the architect specially designated for the heritage developments of the state government had visited Rajmahal with the team to observe it. The work of developing the palace as a tourism site and renovation will be started in upcoming days.
The Rajmahal palace at Amreli was built by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III in 1892 for his residence, when Amreli was a part of Baroda state. The 2-storey palace was also used to organise Lok Darbar. The Rajmahal palace building was used as government offices in the later years. DeshGujarat
