Gujarat govt to have institutional mechanism for State-Centre coordination in rail projects

Gandhinagar: A high-level meeting chaired by Gujarat Chief Minister was held here today for better coordination between the State and the Centre for ongoing railway projects in Gujarat.
The meeting discussed the issues including gauge conversions, construction of railway over bridges, dedicated freight corridor, electrification of railway lines and more.
The Chief Minister asked Chief Secretary to set up an institutional mechanism for solution of all issues pertaining to ongoing railway projects in the State such as Dedicated Freight Corridor, Railway Over Bridge and others in reference to State-Centre partnership and review the solutions of pending issues after a month.
MoS Railway, Darshana Jardosh invited the CM to visit the High-Speed rail project (bullet train project) works underway in Surat, Bharuch, Navsari areas of South Gujarat. She admired State government for 98.7 per cent completion of land acquisition for this project. DeshGujarat
