May 26, 2022
Surat: SUMUL Dairy chairman Mansinh Patel chaired a meeting of the dairy’s management committee where it was decided to increase the price of buffalo milk paid to milk producers by Rs 10/kg from June 1, 2022.
From June 1, cattle rearers will be paid Rs 740 instead of Rs 730, which translates into SUMUL incurring an expenditure of Rs 15 crore more on milk procurement every year.
SUMUL has also increased the prices paid to milk producers in the March-June period by an average of Rs 45 per kilo fat. Because of this SUMUL is likely to pay Rs 1.93 per litre more for cow’s milk and Rs 2.78 per litre more for buffalo milk in the current financial year. DeshGujarat
