July 05, 2022
Rajkot: Rajkot Municipal Commissioner, Amit Arora, visited the site of the ‘Light House’ Awas Yojana near the Parshuram Dham area along with officers in charge of the project on Monday ahead of a stock-taking of the said project by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the help of a drone camera on Wednesday.
The project, which is being implemented in six cities across the country by their respective municipal corporations, is running behind schedule owing to the corona pandemic.
The Rajkot municipal commissioner informed after visiting the site that the construction of 1,144 homes in 11 towers is in the final phase and will be completed by the first week of August.
The lucky draw for the homes of the ‘Light House’ project, which is being developed using foreign technology, has already been conducted. The municipal commissioner issued instructions to complete the work on the project by the end of the current month.
Activity on the project has once again picked up pace after falling behind schedule owing to the corona pandemic and the surge in prices of raw materials such as steel and cement. DeshGujarat
