Bahucharaji Mandir to undergo major revamp; Shikhar height to increase to 56 ft

Mahesana: A meeting for development of Bahucharaji temple was held today at Mahesana district collector office.

As per the major decisions taken in this meeting, the entire temple will be redeveloped and its Shikhar will be scaled upto 56 ft height. This will end the controversy regarding the height of existing temple.

A master plan will be made for Ambaji mandir like development of main temple campus, Bhojan shala, Yagna shala, Mansarovar pond , rest house and the area around the campus.

The mandir campus will have LED screen. Morning and evening aarti of mandir will be webcasted online. Navratri festival will be celebrated in the temple campus in a grand way. The mandir will be converted from ‘B’ category to ‘A’ category at par with Ambaji and Somnath mandirs.

Wheel chairs and lift facilities will be developed for old age, weak and handicapped devotees. They will be given priority in darshan. Badheliya pond located near the temple will be beautified and developed. The fort wall around the temple will be revamped with heritage look. Small temples in Yagnashala and temple campus will also be revamped with required additions and corrections.

Various categories will be created for prashad and boxes will be arranged. Various packages will be decided for prasadi of sarees that were offered to Goddess Bahuchar. Salary and dakshina of Brahmins who perform Navchandi and Yagna will be increased substantially. DeshGujarat
