PM Modi to inaugurate projects worth over Rs 8,200 crore in Bharuch

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a 3-day visit to Gujarat from October 9-11 where he will launch and inaugurate multiple projects. The PM will be visiting Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Mehsana, and Bharuch. Projects worth over ₹8,200 crore are being carried out at rapid pace in Bharuch.
Gujarat’s first fully equipped bulk drug park is being constructed in Jambusar, Bharuch, at a cost of over ₹2,500 crore which will be inaugurated by PM Modi. Along with this, the PM will also inaugurate and launch various industrial parks and infrastructure projects.
Gujarat, under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, is accelerating on the path of development to realise the mission of ‘Aatmanirbhar Gujarat to Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.
Projects worth over ₹8,200 crore
Government of Gujarat is committed to provide one of the finest ecosystem for industries to achieve ‘Aatmanirbharata’. Multiple projects worth ₹8,238.90 crore including the foundation stone laying of a Bulk Drug Park; ground-breaking ceremony of four tribal parks, one agro park, one Sea-Food Park one MSME Park, and 2 Multi-level Industrial sheds; Deep Sea Pipeline Project; inauguration of four projects of GACL; inauguration of Ankleshwar Airport-Phase-; inauguration of Bharuch underground drainage and STP work; widening and Strengthening of Umlla Asha Panetha road; and inauguration of IOCL Dahej Koyali pipeline will be launched by the PM at Bharuch.
Gujarat’s first Bulk Drug Park in Bharuch
The Bulk Drug Park was launched to realise the PM’s vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’. Gujarat was selected for setting up a bulk drug park in 2,015.02-hectares at a cost of ₹2,500 crore.
Existing pharma makers in the state make active pharma ingredients such as cephalosporins, steroids, inorganic salt, proton pump inhibitors, analgesics, antipyretics, and anti-inflammatory drugs like paracetamol, diclofenac sodium, aceclofenac, ibuprofen, anti-hypertensives, anti-diabetics, and antivirals but the primary ingredients for most of these are imported.
To ensure a smooth supply chain, this project will pave for import substitutions and make India self-reliant in bulk drugs.
Ground-breaking ceremony of Industrial parks
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat is making significant progress in the industry sector. In Bharuch, various industrial parks will be built in the near future to promote and create awareness in industrial sectors which includes Agro Food Park, four Tribal Industrial Park, Seafood Park and MSME Park.
