Mahesana: Prime minister Narendra Modi is on his 3 day visit to the home state of Gujarat. Today, PM presided over a public function where he dedicated and lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 3900 crore in Modhera, Mehsana.

The projects for which works were kicked off by PM Narendrabhai Modi today included Reconstruction of Mahesana civil hospital, UHT milk plant and powder plant of Dudhsagar dairy, North Kadi water treatment project and Patan – Gozaria four lane highway project (NH 68).

The projects inaugurated by PM Narendrabhai Modi today at Mahesana included First solar powered village Modhera and 15 MWh battery system project, Sabarmati – Jagudan gauge conversion project, Nandasan oil production project, four lane Bechraji – Modhera – Chanasma highway.

During the function the state CM Bhupendra Patel also pointed out that how Gujarat has become surplus energy State and said “In last 2 decades installed capacity has increased by 31,000 MW. In Solar energy domain under the leadership of Prime Minister we have created history with increase of 7,180 MW in last 20 years.”

PM Modi while addressing the people of Modhera said “Not just free power but one would earn also. Generate power at home & farm, use required portion and sell surplus one. No need to pay bills and even earn through it. It’s like laddu in both hands and it causes no burden on society or people.”

PM added, “Japanese make cars here and take to Japan. There’re 3 plants and lakhs of cars are manufactured here. Bicycles were not made in Gujarat and now cars and metro coach are made here and days are not far when planes will be made here. Largest EV project is going to be in Mahesana.”

PM thanked the people of Gujarat for giving him the chance to serve the state and country and said “You put trust in us in last 2 decades and Gujarat established itself as one of leading States. I bow my head in respect of crores of people of Gujarat for their patience. It’s because of your hard work we made new history. This has been possible due to your abundance of trust. You haven’t seen my caste, my political life, you have blindly blessed me with complete love and your barometer was only my work that you witnessed. You approved it and kept blessing not just me but my colleagues also. And more you bless me, more I wish to work more.”

After the public function, Prime Minister performed Darshan and Pooja at Modheshwari Mata Temple. He also visited the Sun temple where he witnessed the beautiful projection mapping show.
