ACB unearths Benami property of over Rs 3 Cr of former GPCB official

Gandhinagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat found Benami property of over Rs 3 crore of the then member secretary of Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) Anil Shah during the investigation.
ACB booked the then-member secretary of GPCB Anil Shah in the case of having property more than his legitimate income (disproportionate assets). They conducted a search and found Rs 3.57 crore Benami property. According to ACB, Shah gathered the property of Rs 3.57 crore by misusing his position in GPCB from March 2006 to March 2020. It includes movable and immovable properties.
Shah was posted as senior environment engineer at Porbandar after his transfer considering the complaints against him. ACB team has collected bank account details and documentary evidence of the immovable and movable properties. DeshGujarat
