Gandhinagar: Shahera BJP MLA Jetha Bharwad, in a letter to CM Bhupendra Patel, alleged malpractice by the contractors, officials, and businessmen in the works under the ‘Nal Se Jal’ scheme which is being executed by the State government arm WASMO in Godhra and Shahera taluka.
He alleged that WASMO executive engineer MM Mevada did corruption to a large extent by executing poor quality works in water supply schemes in the Panchmahal district.
The MLA claimed that a resolution has been passed by Pani Samiti of the collector to supply water via tankers in summer. However, executive engineer MM Mevada has started tankers in only 12 villages in Panchmahal even after 2 months of the resolution, he alleged.
Bharwad further demanded an investigation against responsible officials through ACB. He has demanded three thousand hand pumps in Shahera taluka. He alleged that the hand pumps are not approved so far due to the malpractices by such officials.
