Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge’ 92% complete

Gandhinagar: The Signature Bridge, connecting Okha and Beyt Dwarka, is currently under construction at a cost of ₹978 crores, with a length of 2320 meters. 38 pillars have been constructed in the sea using Hawk Cranes. The work had started in March 2018, and today, 92% of the total work has been successfully completed. It is expected to be ready by October 2023.
Features of this Bridge:
The bridge is 2320 meters long of which 900 meters is the cable-stayed part.
An approach road of a total length of 2452 meters will be built at Okha and Beyt-Dwarka.
The main span of the bridge is 500 meters long, the longest span in India.
A dedicated parking area is to be constructed at Okha.
The main span of the bridge has two pylons of 130 meters
This four-lane bridge has a width of 27.20 meters with 2.50-meter footpaths on each side.
Solar panels installed on the footpath will generate 1 MW of electricity which will be used for lighting on the bridge. The remaining electricity will be used to fulfill the power requirements of Okha.
A View Gallery is to be installed at 12 locations on the bridge to provide scenic views to tourists.
Decorative lighting for the evening hours will be installed on the bridge.
