Vadodara: Delhi – Mumbai expressway is yet to be declared open, and lots of works are still underway, but some people still chose to use it to travel from one place to another. This causes accidents on yet-to-be-opened highway.

In yet another incident, a bike rider died after colliding with a cement pillar erected as a barrier on the under-construction Delhi Mumbai express highway near Vadodara.

Within 54 days, two bike riders have lost their lives after colliding with barriers placed on the yet-to-be-completed Delhi Mumbai Express highway near Vadodara. The latest incident involved a 35-year-old man named Khadakbahadur alias Raja Asulal Kami, who operated a Chinese food cart and was passing through Dodka village on his bike on the night of 31st July. His bike collided with a cement pillar, resulting in severe head injuries and his subsequent death. The incident reportedly occurred between 10 pm to 1 am. The police sent his body to Bhadrva government clinic for postmortem.

Earlier, in a separate incident on 6th June, 57-year-old Kanumbhai Mali died on the spot when his bike collided with an iron barricade near L&T camp, close to Laxmipura village on the Delhi Mumbai express highway.

It’s important to note that vehicle transportation is prohibited on the under-construction Delhi Mumbai express highway. Cement pillars and iron barricades are placed to restrict transportation during this phase. DeshGujarat
